Submissions are currently open from September 27-October 31, 2026 for Issue I: Going Nowhere Fast. Think chasing phantoms, racing into oblivion, on a swift path to destruction, not caring where you're going as long as you're going.
Â
Fiction, nonfiction, poetry and artwork are all accepted for this issue, and we encourage you to think out of the box and play with the theme as much as you like.

Submissions
Art
Up to five pieces can be submitted for art, with each accompanied by a 250-500 word artist statement. Drawings, paintings, sculptures and photography are all welcome. If you have specific details of a piece you'd like to include in addition to the full image, feel free to include them as long as it doesn't exceed the posted number of files (the submission form only takes up to five). As of now, we cannot include performance art or larger installations in open calls, but if you'd like to submit them for a blog post, we'd be happy to help make it work!
NonfictionÂ
2,000 word count maximum. Like fiction, this can be one piece, or it can be split between one to three pieces. Anything from personal essays/creative nonfiction to commentaries, interviews and reviews can be submitted under this categoryÂ
Fiction, Flash and Poetry
2,000 word count maximum. This can be in one piece, or it can be split between one to three pieces. For fiction, full-length short stories, selections from larger projects or flash/microfiction are all welcome. For poetry, pieces from larger collections or standalone work are also welcome.
